~ Our Mission ~
B.E.L.L.’s goal and mission are to help children develop their active and creative minds, a sense of understanding and compassion for others, and the courage to act on their beliefs. We stress the total development of each child: spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical. Through mentoring, we encourage and try to create leaders in our students. When we learn together, we grow together.
We want them to reach their full potential by providing academic support and enrichment learning opportunities in a safe environment by utilizing all available community resources, thus empowering them to succeed by providing them quality learning experiences.
Education
It is human to learn and make mistakes, that is how we learn and do better. As the world changes, so do education and knowledge. So as we get older, we are all learning new things every day. It could be the latest technology, a new way to do learn (like common core), or how to interact with people who are "different."
That being said, we want to build leaders in our community who are strong (both mentally and emotionally). Being a leader is someone who takes action and who always tries their best and push themselves to do better. A leader is also someone who does what's right and not follow the crowd when everyone is doing something that may be wrong (like bullying). S/he is someone who will is not afraid to ask for help when needed and is willing and able to listen to others and take positive criticism when needed. Leaders help shape the world we are in and the children are the future. So if we don't invest in them, how can we help make the world a better place where ignorance is bliss and following the crowd will only lead to downfall.
Volunteer Services
We accept and are constantly looking for volunteers to join our team to help kids with their education and fun! We love our volunteers and hope we get more every year. We know it is hard and we appreciate our volunteers and thank them all.
If you are looking for volunteering hours/services, we will gladly help. However, there may be some screening for adults.
We also volunteer our time and effort into helping after-school centers that need our help. If we can, we will!! We need more future leaders that will help make the world a better place for us and for them. That all starts with their education and having them exposed to many STEAM related lessons and activities.
